The Cheryl Shops 2024 Holiday Gift Guide

Whew, I feel a little late to the game this year—it seems like every other blogger and influencer on the planet has already dropped their gift guide for the holidays. But hopefully mine was worth the wait. I always love putting these together—it's like shopping for gifts with an imaginary unlimited budget—and I hope you find some great ideas. I already own and highly recommend many of these items (and some may be, ahem, on the way), but everything is something I'd be glad to give or receive. Also, special shout-out to Anthropologie for sponsoring this year's gift guide—I've included something from them in every category, as their store is a treasure trove of really great presents. Ready to check off your holiday shopping list?

My pajama top, pajama pants, necklace, and mug are all from Anthropologie!

1. This speckled serving bowl reminds me of the pottery I saw in Puglia last summer; I wish I had bought more of it, but especially for the price, this looks like the next-best thing.

Sur La Table Blue Splatter Serving Bowl $19.95

2. Julia Turshen is one of my all-time favorite cookbook authors, and she's a great follow on Substack too, where she frequently shares a bunch of cooking cheat-sheets, which inspired her latest cookbook. I have a feeling this will be great for quick weeknight dinners.

What Goes With What by Julia Turshen $25.25

3. This creepy-but-cool-looking mask goes in your fridge (or if you're feeling very bold, your freezer), then on your face to relieve puffiness after a night of indulgence.

Chill Glam Cryo Face Mask $16

4. This Botox ornament made me cackle and I seriously contemplated getting one for each of my girlfriends, except we agreed not to do gifts this year (in lieu, we're doing—wait for it—a spa day).

Cody Foster & Co. Wrinkle Free Ornament $20

5. I feel like this label maker is the kind of gadget you never knew you needed, but likely once you have it, you'll wonder how you lived without it. Labels on everything!

Phomemo Label Maker $18.99

6. I'll admit, I've never really seen the point in putting your Airpods in another case, when they already come in a sleekly designed one. But this Rimowa-esque suitcase case is really cute, and the little clip looks handy too.

Airpods Case $11.99

1. I've been contemplating getting a Hatch alarm clock, but the price has always seemed outlandish. This is pretty much the same thing, for a fraction of the price. Sold!

REACHER Sunrise Alarm Clock $44.19

2. It's been close to 20 years(!) since I've lived in the West Village, but it's always one of my favorite places to visit when I go back to NYC, and while it doesn't have all of my favorites, this clever print features matchbook covers from some of the neighborhood's top restaurants.

Matchbook West Village NYC Matches print $34

3. Speaking of matches, this is a much classier-looking way to light your candles, versus a cheap old disposable lighter that you bought at a gas station somewhere (guilty as charged).

CB2 Small Glass Cloche with Black Matches $32

4. I know hand lotion is not the most novel idea for a present, but hear me out: I am addicted to this stuff. It is super-light—and not at all greasy—and makes my hands super-soft and smooth. This would be an excellent stocking-stuffer.

Sidia Nirvana; The Hand Serum $36

5. Did you also read the recent NYT story about how black plastic kitchen utensils are terrible for you and throw all of yours out? If so, these medical-grade silicone tools (in pretty, soothing colors!) are a great way to replace them.

GIR 3-Piece Ultimate Kitchen Tool Set $31

6. Need a gift for someone in their mid-'40s? Great, get them these readers. This is the pair I wear every night when I read in bed, and while I have readers in every purse and room in my home, these are hands-down my favorite. They're cute, they don't slide down your nose, and as a bonus, they block blue light too.

Peepers Take a Bow Blue Light Readers $35

1. I went into this shop in Positano last summer, saw this bag, did not buy it, and have been thinking about it ever since. I think the burgundy color is sold out (boo!), but it comes in a bunch of other lovely options, like tan and olive green.

Carro Positano Sally bag $95

2. I have not bought anything from Everlane in ages; they raised their prices and went in a more anti-fit, Gen Z direction that just didn't appeal to me. But I was reminded the other day how much I love their alpaca sweaters, so I'm coming back around to this one. (Full disclosure: I may have already ordered it!)

Everlane The Crew Cardigan in Alpaca $104 (on sale)

3. The Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle Hotel is one of my favorite places in NYC; one day I hope to have the budget to actually stay there. Until then, this beanie just makes it look like you can.

The Carlyle Beanie $65

4. As a hot sleeper, I am generally not a pajama person (I prefer nightgowns), but these are fantastic for lounging. I love all of the cute prints they come in, and obviously you'll want the matching top too (this is what I'm wearing in the photo at the beginning of this post).

By Anthropologie Flannel Pajama Pants $50

5. I'm not always a fan of gift sets as they can feel kind of impersonal, but Jones Road's Miracle Balm has been one of my breakthrough products of 2024, and this set features two of them plus a mascara (which is also supposed to be life-changing) and a lippie.

Jones Road The Beach Vacation Kit $76

6. I'm obsessed with La DoubleJ's prints, but the clothing tends to creep into the high three figures, putting it out of my (and most people's) range. Their housewares, on the other hand, are more within reach, including this very happy-looking tray.

La DoubleJ Rectangular Printed Tray $60

1. I've wanted a Foundrae necklace for ages, but their prices are not for the faint of heart (yep, that $20k figure is not a typo). I was excited to find a dupe at Saks, then even more excited to find this one at a mere fraction of the price of the original.

Bold Gold 14K Mixed Link Chain Necklace $799

2. Madewell knows when they have a good thing, because they always exclude it from their promos. So far this buttery-looking suede blazer has not been included in their pre–Black Friday promos, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a change of heart.

Madewell The Kline Suede Blazer $498

3. Lauren Santo Domingo is a class act and I am more than mildly obsessed with her. Which is why I would 100% trust her picks for this gift set, which includes some surefire hits (like the Sisley Black Rose mask) and some products I'm dying to try (like the Hermès lip blam).

Moda Operandi Lauren's Winter Beauty Box $555

4. I saw these on Hey Mrs. Solomon's Substack and immediately knew I had to have them. They are ridiculous-looking and yet so cool, and I bet they are comfy AF. I pray there's a marked-down pair somewhere on the Internet, because they. Must. Be. Mine.

Tod's Gommino fringed leather loafers $1,175

5. Do you or I need more sequined pieces in our wardrobe? Probably not. But don't let that stop you from getting this over-the-top pailette maxi skirt. I can picture in my head the sheer amount of NOISE this thing makes, and I'm here for it. (PS I may have already ordered this one too.)

Maeve Iridescent Sequin Maxi Skirt $158

6. Can you achieve a perfect bouncy blowout with the blow-dryer and curling iron you already own? Yes. Can you do it faster and with just one tool, with this thing? Also yes. According to my stylist, this is better (and cheaper!) than the Dyson AirWrap. And I have a feeling it will be on sale verrrry soon.

Shark Beauty FlexStyle Multi-Styler $299
