Get the look: black blazer and boots with white jeans

When I realized that one of the most-bought items last year was a coat I featured in a Get the Look post from 2021, I asked if I should bring back back this series and heard from a lot of you that I should...so here it is! To bring everyone up to speed, it's where I take one of the most repinned looks from my Outfit ideas for ageless style Pinterest board and break it into pieces so you can re-create the look for yourself. When possible, I try to ID the exact items, but more often than not, it ends up being a "get the look for less" spin, which I know everyone loves anyway. S now that we got that out of the way, let's get straight into breaking down this month's most-pinned look.

I have always been a big fan of the black-on-top, white-on-bottom combination, but for it to work, first you need a good pair of white jeans—in this case, she's wearing my favorite type of cut, which is an ankle-length slim straight leg. The best, in my opinion, is Frame's Le High Straight, of which I own several pairs; I suggest sizing down for a closer fit.

I think the blazer is what makes this look really cool—it's a bit longer than your average, and I'd guess the woman's might be Isabel Marant, but then I'm probably biased. Still, you want to go for an oversized, borrowed-from-the-boys fit—the closer to mid-thigh the better.

It's hard to tell if there's something more exciting going on with this woman's top, but from what I can see, it looks like a fine-knit top with a mock neckline. If you don't already have one in your wardrobe, I'm always a fan of Splendid.

Black patent leather, pointy (but not too pointy) toe, and a cool front seam detail: these are pretty versatile boots, and I'm really loving the low yet sculptural heel on the pair I found, by Staud.

She's carrying the type of bag that looks vintage and understated, which means it's actually probably ridiculously expensive. Hence the closest I could come to it is this absolute beauty by The Row (sorry not sorry).

This is such a great way to wear white jeans, and you found some very similar pieces! :) I will need to remember this for when it's finally cool enough to wear my white jeans that mum got me for Christmas! :)
