Just about a year ago, I pledged to cut down on the Canva-collage posts and feature more original content here, and while I think I've been doing a pretty good job of that, there have been some extenuating circumstances in my life recently. I am making this sound way more dramatic than it actually is—long story short, Sean had surgery a few weeks ago and is on crutches and thus we can't do a proper photo shoot at the moment, but hopefully we'll have a new one very, very soon (e.g. next week). In the meantime, my birthday is next week and to be honest, I really enjoy writing these birthday wishlist posts. They're a little self-indulgent, yes, but hey, it's my birthday. So for old time's sake, here's what I really, really, really want for my birthday this year.
1. I was at a holiday party a few months ago and noticed many of the women wearing big, thick gold bands, often stacked with thinner and/or sparklier rings, and I've been obsessed with finding the right one ever since. I have now been served Instagram ads from Aurate so many times that I think this ribbed cigar band might be the one.

2. I have a lot of short, poofy dresses—my friend calls these my "princess dresses"—but hey, know thyself. I've had my eye on this much-imitated one for awhile; it comes out in new colors every season, but this pale blush pink feels the most "me" so far. It may finally be time.
3. We've been eating a lot of fruit lately, to the point that our current fruit bowl (which also holds onions and garlic) is overflowing. I'd like to give my afternoon treats their own glorious place, and this cheeky pedestal bowl would nicely complement our existing bowl, which will now be dedicated exclusively to veggies.

4. It's been a very long two years since I bought my Celine tote in Paris, so clearly it's time for a new bag! A trip to Paris is not in the cards at the moment—nor is spending over $4,000 on a bag—but I found a bunch of reasonably priced contenders on Fashionphile (Rebag has some lovelies too).

5. I think I've featured this candle somewhere on the blog before, although I can't find it; it's the candle that Sketch London burns, and while that's a magical restaurant on many levels, the scent might be my favorite part. The price of this candle is ridiculous, but maybe I can justify it by turning the canister into an objet d'art afterward?

I hope Sean has a speedy recovery! :) I'm liking your wishlist too - that candle is a bit expensive but I agree it's a really pretty container when you've used up the candle! :) And that pink dress is so cute!
Hope you are having a great week! :) Another wet and stormy one here!

Aww I love the bowl too. Advance happy birthday, dear!
I also like to make those lists! It's almost like you already received them then, lol. Good luck on your husband with his recovery!
Ooooo yes a Celine tote in Paris sounds good to me! So can not wait to get back to Paris and oh that candle looks and sounds amazing!
