Get the look: Amal Clooney's moto jacket and skinny jeans

There's been a lot of Gen Z. vs. Millennial beef lately, especially concerning skinny jeans. I'm not sure where or how it all started (maybe TikTok?) but I must say, I found it kind of amusing. I'm a Gen Xer who's always preferred slim or straight-leg jeans (I do own one true skinny pair in black), as well as a firm believer that you should wear whatever you feel good in, so if you're a millennial who loves skinny jeans, then by all means, you should continue to wear them and not listen to a generation that eats Tide Pods and wants to be Internet-famous for a living. Ahem. So, my skinny-jeans-wearing readers, this post is for you. It features none other than international style icon and accomplished lawyer Amal Clooney (otherwise known as Mrs. George Clooney) and it's this month's most-pinned look from my Outfit ideas for ageless style Pinterest board. Let's do it. 


I'm glad it's March, which means spring is on the horizon and we can start wearing cute leather jackets like this one, instead of big, heavy coats. Amal's is technically a moto jacket, but with more refined styling that feels very elevated.


I'm sure her camel sweater is very fancy—its slightly boxy shape means that it has some weight to it—but you can achieve a very similar look by sizing up in my favorite bargain cashmere sweater, which still feels luxurious on its own. 



Chances are you probably have a pair of skinny jeans in your closet already, but in the case that you don't (or want a pair exactly like this), I always recommend Old Navy's Rockstar fit, which happens to be on mega-sale at the moment.


I have no idea where Amal got her very unique and specific boots, but this mixed-snakeskin pair achieves a similar look with a slightly sturdier-looking heel. 


I'd guess that Amal's tote is Prada, based on its proportions and classic design, but this leather tote is just as classic and comes with an extra shoulder strap (plus it's a fraction of the price).

I like her distressed jeans and you did a good job finding similar pieces to her outfit! :)

I don't think I will ever give up my skinny jeans, haha! I find they are the best fit on me, they will always be my staple go-to style of jeans I think!
