You may recognize this cashmere coatigan from my holiday gift guide, and for that, I can thank Sean, who generously gave it to me for Christmas. (He also got me the monogrammed La Bouche Rouge lipstick in Le Rouge Chloe, which I'm wearing in these photos.) As I mentioned in my honest review of direct-to-consumer cashmere brands, NakedCashmere makes the softest cashmere sweaters, and this one is no exception. I wore it for much of the week in between Christmas and New Year's Day; it's exceptionally great around the house. The length and generous cut make it feel like the most luxurious bathrobe in existence, but there is something refined and chic to the shape too. I've worn it with dresses, jeans, sweatpants, leggings, and I have yet to find anything that doesn't look good with it. On a warmer winter day in San Francisco, you can get away with wearing it instead of a coat, which is what I did here. In terms of sizing, I'd say it runs generously true to size; I'm in my usual small, and it's just perfect.
It was pretty balmy for January when we shot these, so I got away with wearing just a striped T-shirt underneath. This is my go-to Proenza Schouler tee, which you last saw in New York, I believe. I've had this thing for years and am amazed that it still hasn't pilled. It's still super soft and lightweight; I feel like the cotton has become even thinner with age (without running or pulling), and it's even better than it was before. Long story short, this tee is an investment, but worth it. I size up to a medium in this one.
This is my first time wearing these jeans on the blog; they're the Levi's 501 cropped jean in 100% cotton, and while they're more of a relaxed fit than my beloved 505 crop, that's actually a good thing around the holidays. These are basically a cropped version of Levi's iconic high-waisted, straight-leg 501 jeans; I wish the inseam were an inch longer, but there's always the full-length version. For whatever reason, I have trouble with Levi's stretch denim creating a pooch below my waist, but I never have this problem with their 100% cotton denim. Don't be afraid of the fact that they don't have stretch—the cotton actually stretches out quite a bit, and if I were to get these again, I'd actually go down a size (I'm in my usual 28 here) for a slimmer fit. If you want more of a boyfriend fit, like I have here, take your regular size.
I went a little nuts with the accessories on this outfit, in a good way. The shoes already have two different animal prints, then I added a leopard-print hat, but as I proved the last time I wore it, leopard and stripes do go together. The key is to keep the scale or the colors consistent; the fact that everything has a bit of black and white in it is what unites it. You last saw the belt and the shoes in wine country in December, and if that's any indication, yes, I wear both of these pieces quite frequently. Expect to see even more of them here!

Casual perfection! I just love the touches of leopard with your hat and shoes!
A cashmere coatigan - how luxurious and what a great present. Love the way you've styled it, the hat is so cute. Thanks for linking at #WowOnWednesday

Have been thinking of stripes and leopard print! Love it Cheryl. Jacqui x
That is such a great maxi cardigan and I really like the print mixing with the accessories too! I'm a little sad as I had a cosy long grey cardigan like this but I left it at work, so I have a coverup for when the aircon is cold, because it goes with everything! But since I haven't been in the office I wasn't able to get it out for winter and wear it. I'm hoping it's still there when I go back to the office, haha!
Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you had a great weekend :) We managed to spend a lot of time outdoors which was fun :)
