You don't have to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentine's Day. In fact, the day has rather dark origins—in Roman times, it was a pagan matchmaking festival that followed a ritual animal slaughter, and also the day on which several men named Valentine were executed. Now, who's in the mood for chocolates and romance? That said, I fully embrace the concept of love, whether that's the kind you share with someone else or just self-love. And while gifts are my least-favored love language, maybe that's because I rarely hesitate to treat myself. Here are some of my favorite options this year for you, for your significant other, or for both of you.
Freda Salvador James shearling slipper $150
2. This self-massager seems like the kind of gimmicky thing you'd get for Christmas, but people seem to rave about it, and I'd pretty much kill for a massage right now, so I'm willing to give it a try.
Theragun elite $399
3. The last year has made me intimately examine every object in my house, including my tumblers, which are few in number and a mishmash at that. This (intentionally) mixed set of four is made out of substantial German crystal and will even make green juice feel fancy.
Nachtman crystal tumbler set $49.90
4. I've been obsessed with this candle ever since my trip to Sketch London last February, and yes, I know this is an exorbitant amount of money to spend on a candle, but I've yet to smell anything remotely as good. And considering how much time we're (still) spending at home, I think it's strangely worth it.
5. This is the time of year that I live in sweaters and leggings, and this wool-cashmere cable-knit tunic looks so freaking warm and comfy, I fear that it would be nearly impossible to get me out of it.
6. I have a running list of luxury items I'd like to buy one day, and the most recent addition is a diamond tennis bracelet. I'm a child of the '70s—what can I say?

That tunic looks amazing and you have me really curious about that candle now! I don't think I've spent over $100 on a candle before. I've certainly spent a lot on candles in total but not much on one individual one!
Hope that you are having a good weekend! :)

Oooh, I love that cozy sweater! I am so like you in that receiving gifts is not my love language either (unless the gift is a dozen donuts) because I rarely deny myself the things that would make decent gifts!
