1. If you want to go cropped, these Reiss leather culottes are pretty damn gorgeous. I particularly like the seam detail along the front of the leg.
2. But if you want to take cropped a step further, these oxblood-leather cropped pants are like a juicy glass of Merlot.
3. Ganni is one of my favorite labels right now, and it's details like the paperbag waistband that make them really stand out. I should also point out that this is the most reasonable pair of actual-leather pants here.
4. I love the olive-green color of these—surprisingly hard to find even in leather—and you kind of can't go wrong at this price.
Prologue wide-leg pants $32.99
5. The older I get, the more I realize that navy is a more forgiving alternative to black—it's just as flattering but not as harsh against my skin. These are maybe not as practical as black, but then again, are leather pants ever practical?
Jason Wu lambskin pants $1,095
6. These pants are more than my monthly housing costs, but hey, if you can afford them, who am I to stop you? Just imagine how buttery soft they are in that rich caramel color.
Brunello Cucinelli pants $3,750
7. I love that these trousers look like chinos, but they're not-so-secretly super-luxe nubuck leather.
Vince nubuck pants $1,195
8. If you're iffy on this trend—or if you're on a budget—these have the look of the $700 pairs above, for a fraction of the price.
