Of all the trends I'm featuring this season, this one seemed a little iffy to me...until I got my hair done a few weeks ago and literally every female stylist at my salon was wearing a square-neck top. Granted, most of them were of the slightly cropped variety, but thankfully there are a lot of square-neck tops that have a slightly more forgiving silhouette. Here are my favorite square-neck tops for fall.
1. I will take any excuse I can get to buy a new cashmere sweater, so a silhouette update sounds like a good enough one for me. I like how this one balances a fitted body with more voluminous sleeves.
Autumn Cashmere sweater $275
2. I'm never one to turn down a leopard print, so of course I'd say yes to this one. I like that the pattern is more tonal—it feels softer and more autumnal that way.
Kate Spade Panthera top $139.99
3. This top has a subtle tonal stripe to it, which helps counteract and streamline its slightly billowy volume.
Lini Cara striped top $148.50
4. I've been resisting the whole bodysuit resurgence—generally the rule is that if you wore it the first time it was in fashion, you shouldn't repeat it the second time—but they seem like just the right thing to wear with all my high-waisted, wide-leg pants. Let's just hope the wedgie factor has been improved since the last time around.
BCBG square neck bodysuit $158
5. The challenge with square-neck tops is not to appear so uber-boho; this one toes the line but is still this side of tasteful. Love the mix of prints too.
Free People Mostly Meadow blouse $58.80
6. Another contender for pairing with wide-leg pants, this sweater also comes in black, but the emerald green feels very right for fall.
Sandro ribbed sweater $164.50
7. I love how '90s this sweater feels. And like the bodysuit, even though I wore this sihouette the first time around, it feels modern enough to wear again.
Veronica Beard Clara ribbed sweater $325
8. I featured this sweater in my initial fall preview post, but it's too good not to share again. Plus, it comes in this very pumpkin spice latte shade too.
Astr the Label Bijou sweater $88

These are all so cute and I love the shape of the square. I don't know if I have anything in my closet with a square top, I'll have to look. THat leopard top is my fave!

I really like that leopard print one! I don't have a lot of square neck tops, I find them a little tricky to wear sometimes, to get the accessories right! But I see so many of them around, it's giving me ideas for how I can wear the square neck pieces I do have!
Hope that you have a lovely weekend ahead of you!

I am a little iffy on the square neck trend as well. But these tops are beautiful and I am sure styled the right way, they are totally fabulous! I don’t know if I will be adding any to my Fall wardrobe, but I will certainly admire and appreciate the trend on others. Thanks for sharing and linking up.
