Snakeskin print is the trend that just won't quit—I featured it back in spring, and also last fall. And while it may never replace my first love, leopard print, I think I'm finally ready to add some snake print to my wardrobe. I think the coolest way to wear it this season is in an ankle boot—there are all shapes and colors too, from metallic silver to pink. Just to clarify, these are generally snake-embossed leather, not actual snakeskin boots. Here are some of my favorites for fall.




1. If there is a boot of the season, you can bet Isabel Marant is on it. This is one of the more expensive pairs I'm featuring here (there are more affordable options, I promise!), but also one of the more unique ones, thanks to its colorblocked design.

2. These Madewell boots are unique in terms of the scale (pun intended) and placement of the print—it's bolder, darker, and more unique than most, but in a tasteful way.

3. I've seen this brand's knee-high snakeskin boots all over Instagram, but I actually prefer their ankle version, with a fun metallic cap toe and heel for a slightly Chanel-inspired twist.

4. This boot has a lot going on—buckles, cutouts, and a heel that's higher than I usually feature here—and yet I feel oddly drawn to it. Definitely more of a statement boot, if that's what you're into.

5. Other than the goes-with-everything neutral color scheme and practically perfect chunky 2-inch heel, what makes these booties really stand out are their notched V-front, which creates an elongating effect—and makes them way more flattering with skirts or cropped pants.

6. Are pink snakes a real thing? With boots this cute, do you care? I'd say these are not the most practical pair here, but then again, they're probably the most irresistible.

7. These J.Crew boots are a dead ringer for a Balenciaga pair, but at a fraction of the price. I, for one, have been getting back into the ol' J.C., and these boots are a sign that they're finally getting things right again.
