I am very late to the sneaker party, but better late than never, right? Lately, I've been wearing sneakers with everything from jeans to skirts, and I especially love how they look with a midi dress. I've been trying everything from designer brands to actual athletic shoes, but the sneaker I've been wearing nonstop lately is the Star Sneaker by Taos Footwear. They look like a classic canvas sneaker, but on the inside, they're so much more. Read on for what makes this shoe so ridiculously comfortable.
The day we shot this post, I wore these sneakers to a training session with Zuni, then on a long walk with her, then on a walk downhill to the movies in the Marina, then out to dinner, and finally to this photo shoot. My feet felt so supported the entire time, and that's because these crazy-comfy sneakers have a trademarked footbed that provides major arch support, hugs the curves of the foot, and is shock-absorbent as well. The footbed is also anti-microbial, but I always wear a thin sock for extra comfort. The rubber sole is really flexible, and it gripped the hills of San Francisco so well, even when walking down the steepest streets in my neighborhood.
The Star Sneaker comes in a bunch of colors, and I like that the washed canvas has a broken-in look and feel, like the hard work has already been done. I also appreciate that it comes in wide widths; I am actually an 8 W and since it's so rare to find shoes in a wide width—especially a sneaker—I jumped on the chance to order my actual size (although based on the reviews, I did go up half a size). These have just the right amount of room in the toes, and I love that the laces don't kill my arches after several hours. I'm wearing the charcoal washed canvas color, by the way!
These sneakers are so versatile, I feel like I can wear them with so many things, but on this particular day, I liked how they popped against my white jeans and linen blazer. This is a twist on one of my go-to travel outfits, but I think you could wear it almost anywhere, and the sneakers would definitely keep your feet comfy while traveling—in fact, I'm definitely going to bring them on my next trip.
Thanks again to Taos for sending me these super-cute sneakers. Check out their site for a bunch of other styles, plus sandals too!

I love those sneakers Cheryl! You could wear them with almost anything, they're such a versatile style. I'm always looking for shoes with arch support because I have problems with my feet, so I'll be checking out the Taos website! Thanks for linking up!
