What I wore in Copenhagen

Spoiler alert: I absolutely loved Copenhagen. I'll go into detail about why, exactly, when I post my travel diary, but to put it succinctly, it's a gorgeous city with amazing food, friendly people, and inspiring design everywhere you look. It also happened to be having record-breaking heat (in the mid 80s) when we were there, so please note that typical summer weather is more in the upper 60s to low 70s, and thus this post is not truly representative of a Danish summer. That said, I was happy to enjoy the sunshine and warmth, so here's what I wore in Copenhagen.

Day one, morning
We flew Norwegian Air from Stockholm, which was a quick 50-minute trip, and since I prefer to wear pants when I fly, I started the day in my favorite Cos culottes and H&M top (both Swedish brands, coincidentally, and a combination you last saw in spring). But after a late lunch outside in the sun, I was in dire need of a change of clothes.

Day one, evening
I changed into an H&M dress (last seen worn two ways) and my new Swedish Hasbeens sandals, which ended up not being a good idea on cobblestones, but at least I was cooler...until the sun set, and then I was actually a little chilly. Note to self: always bring a light jacket.

Day two
On our second day in Copenhagen, we started to bike everywhere, which was terrifying for the first two minutes and then exhilarating, not to mention a fun (and efficient) way to both see the city and get from point A to point B. I probably flashed half the city in this white dress (last seen in Mexico City), but it kept me cool.

Day three
We had a lot of ground to cover on our last full day in Copenhagen—and this was the warmest day so far—so I wore lightweight yet feminine pieces, my favorite Madewell tee and the skirt I wore on my first day in Stockholm. Coincidentally, the castle we went to made me check my (already small) bag, hence why I'm holding a plastic bag in this photo. But that's another story for another day.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Madewell whisper tee | Etoile Isabel Marant skirt (current season here or here) | Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses (c/o) | Stella & Dot Gitane necklace | Birkenstock Arizona big buckle sandals
