Get the look: dark camel coat

I know the rest of the country is getting snow dumped on them at the moment, but it's been 70 and sunny for the last week in Northern California, and all of a sudden, spring is here. So it feels a little weird to still be posting winter looks, but then again, this cozy-looking outfit was my most-repinned style of the last few weeks on my outfit ideas for ageless style Pinterest board, so here we are.  And it is a great look—it reminds me of a butterscotch sundae, which is a compliment, because butterscotch is delicious. Let's call this one winter's just desserts.

The interesting thing about this look is that while camel coats and sweaters are ubiquitous, she's actually wearing more of a toasty almond color, which looks deep and rich. It all starts with the coat, and I'd almost bet she's wearing this Emerson Fry style. Sadly, this being the end of the season, there are only a few sizes left (and they're on sale!), but here's an alternative that's a little more modern and minimalist in its styling.

The sweater is also a bit tricky to find this time of year, and while the ribbing of this Nic + Zoe sweater is a bit more complex than what the woman in the photo is wearing, I think it provides a nice amount of contrast, plus the length and slouchiness are just right. And, bonus, it's on sale!

Step-hem jeans are incredibly flattering—the longer back hem creates an elongated effect, and the higher hem in front doesn't get all bunchy with your shoes. I feel like you can't go wrong with Citizens of Humanity's rocket jean, but these STS Blue jeans are a more budget-friendly, albeit slightly more distressed option.

Judging by the shape of the toe and the details, I have a feeling that the woman in the photo is wearing a rather pricey pair of boots, like these Roger Vivier Skyscraper booties. They are quite gorgeous, but these Susina booties will do the trick for a fraction of the price.

I am not a big Louis Vuitton person, but seeing the pouch this woman is clutching, I can't help but think she might have created her outfit around her bag. I think a little Louis goes a long way, so something like the Eva or the Favorite (pictured) should do the trick.

Finally, I didn't include sunglasses in my above graphic, but they definitely are essential here for their glamorous, hater-blocking properties. I'd say these Tom Ford Jennifer sunglasses are a good bet all around.

I'd really like to get a pair of those step-hem jeans! I've been seeing those everywhere! They are so trendy!! That jacket is really nice, too.

I love this look Cheryl! The coat is gorgeous, and I love the ripped jeans. I'm only 5'1", so I have such a horrible time finding jeans like this in the right length.

Love the darker option. I wear my regular one all the time.
